Learn about the heart of Phoenix – our people.

From getting to know our customers and understanding their needs, to enabling users and their organisations to do more with less – people are always at the heart of what we do.

The employees at Phoenix Software are the most important thing because they are the foundation of our success, the drivers of innovation and customer satisfaction, and the embodiment of our company culture and values. By prioritising their wellbeing, engagement, and development, we ensure that they have the tools, support, and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute to our collective success.

We’re proud of the individuals that we work with, and we are committed to helping each of them to reach their full potential.

“I would 100% recommend Phoenix as an employer due to the culture that the company is based on. They provide all the relevant tools to excel within the organisation, so much so that the hard work you put in is reflected in promotions and incentives. I think that the good work that Phoenix puts back into the local area and the general working atmosphere is what makes Phoenix unique to other organisations.”

Chris Hillman, Acquisitions Team Leader

“Unique is definitely how I would describe Phoenix. Phoenix is not a typical 9-5 workplace. Everyone goes above and beyond for their customers and colleagues – but that isn’t to say we are all work. The social side to Phoenix really goes hand in hand with their day-to-day work. From the Christmas parties to monthly departmental socials, year-end parties, and so much more – there is always another event to look forward to.”

“I’ve worked at Phoenix for over four years now. Starting off as a Digital Marketing Specialist in January 2020, I then became the Marketing Campaign Lead, Digital Marketing Manager, and I am now the Marketing Manager. I think if you asked anyone in the team if I enjoy working at Phoenix, every single person wouldn’t hesitate to say, absolutely!

I have never felt more supported, invested in, and listened to by an employer.”

Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy

We aim to provide a working environment that promotes and supports the mental health and wellbeing of all employees.

Mental ill health and stress are associated with many of the leading causes of disease and disability in society. Promoting and protecting the mental wellbeing of the workforce is important for an individual’s physical health, social wellbeing, and productivity. Mental wellbeing in the workplace is relevant to all employees and everyone can contribute to improved mental wellbeing at work.

Addressing workplace mental wellbeing can help strengthen the positive, protective factors of employment, reduce risk factors for mental ill health and improve general health. It can also help promote the employment of people who have experienced mental health problems and support them once they are at work.

To support with this, we have a Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy, a Menopause Policy, an onsite Employee Engagement & Staff Welfare Manager, and all employees have free access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) where they can speak to experts covering areas such as stress, anxiety, physical and mental health challenges, and more.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Policy

Phoenix is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.

Our aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and reflective of our customers, plus each employee must feel respected and able to give their best. The purpose of our EDI policy is to:

  • Provide equality, fairness, and respect for all in our employment, whether temporary, part-time, or full-time
  • Not unlawfully discriminate against the Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, gender, and sexual orientation
  • Oppose and avoid all forms of unlawful discrimination. This includes pay and benefits, terms, and conditions of employment, dealing with grievances and discipline, dismissal, redundancy, leave for parents, requests for flexible working and selection for employment, promotion, training, or other developmental opportunities
  • To support our goals, we are a Disability Confident employer, have an LGBTQ+ Equality at Work Policy, and have signed The Race at Work Charter and Armed Forces Covenant
