Windows 11, the latest and greatest version of Microsoft’s Windows NT operating system, turned two this month. Let’s take a look at what it can do for your organisation…

Windows 11 has been released to accommodate and ease the rapid changes and development that have occurred in workplaces within the last few years. Here are the reasons you should consider making the move to upgrade now:

    • Narrator: a screen reader that reads aloud text, buttons, and other elements on the screen

    • Colour filters: a setting that changes the colour scheme of the screen to improve contrast or reduce eye strain
    • High contrast: a theme that makes text and icons stand out against a dark background
    • Closed captions and subtitles: a feature that displays text on the screen for audio and video content
    • Speech recognition: a feature that lets users control their device with voice commands
    • Dictation: a feature that lets users type with their voice instead of a keyboard
    • Eye control: a feature that lets users control their device with eye movements and gestures
    • Touch feedback: a setting that makes the device vibrate or play a sound when a user touches the screen

Getting started with Windows 11

The deadline for upgrading to Windows 11 is October 14th 2025 for Enterprise and Education editions. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows 10, which means your devices will be exposed to potential risks and vulnerabilities through cyber attacks and malware. Upgrading to Windows 11 will give you access to the latest features and innovations, offering better performance, security, and compatibility , making it the best choice for your organisation.
