We’re thrilled to announce we’re on the UK Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ list in 2024!
We care deeply about the wellbeing of our people, and we take steps to ensure our employees have positive experiences and good mental health at work.
Our placing on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list was based on the feedback of our own employees, who filled out surveys on how well we look after their wellbeing at work. They shared their thoughts on different aspects of wellbeing, such as how happy they are with their work-life balance, how meaningful and satisfying their work is, and how safe and secure they feel psychologically and financially. Great Place to Work® also looked at how we create a consistent and fair employee experience across all teams and levels of seniority.
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work UK, comments, “Wellbeing, engagement, and trust between employees are critical ingredients to successful workplace culture. It’s no secret that by ensuring employees feel genuinely trusted and cared for, they are much healthier, productive, and committed to the mission and purpose of the organisation. Congratulations to Phoenix Software for making this prestigious list!”
We are so proud to maintain this award for the second year running and look forward to using the valuable insights Great Place to Work has provided us with to build on our culture and employee satisfaction. Our goal is to create a positive work environment for all employees, and we do this by promoting employee wellbeing through our initiatives:
- Wellbeing Wednesdays: every employee can take a paid hour off work once a month on a Wednesday to focus on their mental health
- Mental health first aid: we have ten trained mental health first aiders in the company who can offer support to those who need it
- Menopause awareness: we have done research and had several internal conversations about menopause to find out how we can better support our employees with menopause symptoms
- EAP: we have an Employee Assistance Programme that provides mental health support to all employees anytime, to make sure everyone gets the help they need
- Mental health network: we have a dedicated internal network that provides support, organises events, and raises awareness around mental struggles
Clare Metcalfe, Managing Director at Phoenix, is thrilled about the accreditation, “We consider ourselves a close-knit team, dedicated to supporting each other to ensure everyone is happy and supported throughout their career journey with us. Reflecting our values of kindness and respect, we believe that when #TeamPhoenix achieves our goals and our employees feel fulfilled in their careers, it fosters loyalty and engagement throughout the business.”
