We are aware of two incidents which may impact some of our customers using Crowdstrike and/or Microsoft services.

Updates on the Microsoft incident can be found here: https://status.cloud.microsoft/

CrowdStrike is actively assisting customers affected by a defect in a recent content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts were not impacted. The issue has been identified and isolated, and a fix has been deployed. This was not a cyber attack.

Customers are advised to check the support portal for updates. We will also continue to provide the latest information here and on our blog as it’s available. We recommend organisations verify they are communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels.

Remediation and guidance hub: https://www.crowdstrike.com/falcon-content-update-remediation-and-guidance-hub/

CrowdStrike engineers have put together a bootable utility to assist with offline recovery of a host impacted by the Channel File 291 issue. This utility can be used on physical hardware, virtual machines, or other environments that support bootable media (ISO, CD/DVD, USB drives, PXE, etc). The utility also supports unlocking BitLocker volumes and will ask for the key.

Phoenix are unaffected by these incidents, but are continually monitoring both situations. If any customers are unsure or need any support please get in touch today.
