Microsoft Dragon Copilot has been announced, and it’s due to make major waves in the healthcare space. Let’s talk about it.

Dragon Copilot is designed for clinical workflow management. Streamlining documentation, taking patient notes, and eliminating admin tasks, Dragon enables busy healthcare providers to focus more of their time on what’s important: their patients.

Dragon Copilot integrates the capabilities of Dragon Medical One (DMO) and DAX Copilot (DAX) This unified platform offers a seamless experience across various care settings.

What is it capable of?

1. Automatic note-taking

Dragon Copilot listens to patient-clinician conversations in real time and automatically generates structured clinical notes that can be integrated into electronic health records (EHRs).

2. Real-time voice dictation

Clinicians can use natural language to dictate patient notes, navigate EHRs, and execute commands hands-free, all because Dragon Copilot understands medical terminology and ensures accurate dictation.

3. Automate admin

Beyond transcription, Dragon Copilot helps streamline administrative duties such as generating referral letters, filling out forms, and summarising patient visits.

4. Information retrieval

Quickly find relevant medical guidelines, clinical best practices, and patient history upon request.

5. Medical compliance

Dragon Copilot was built with healthcare compliance standards in mind, ensuring reliable, bias-free, and privacy-conscious assistance.
